I’m always looking for recipes that are incredibly delicious, easy and fast to make and full of healthy YUMMY AGING goodness. Here are 2 of my favorite YUMMY eats. LOOK at what they contain and what they do!
Tomatoes and avocados contain carotenoids, an antioxidant that lowers the risk of heart disease, some types of cancer and helps strengthen the immune system. Nuts are one of the best sources of protein and Omega-3 fatty acids, they are rich in fiber, B vitamins, magnesium and antioxidants such as Vitamin E and are one of the top foods known to lower cholesterol levels. Red peppers stabilize blood sugar levels and lower LDL. Collard greens, romaine lettuce and sprouts are packed with B vitamins and aid in lowering cholesterol levels.

Here’s another yummy, nutty idea.
NUT TACOS WITH LETTUCE WRAP
Taco (nut) meat
2 cups walnuts, soaked 4-6 hours
1/4 -1/3* cup tamari (* for me 1/3 cup makes filling a little too salty I use 1/4 cup)
1 bunch cilantro
1 tbsp ground cumin
½ tbsp coriander
Wrap and toppings
1 head romaine lettuce
3 tomatoes, sliced
3 avocados, sliced
Process all taco meat ingredients in food processor until mixture resembles ground taco meat. Remove and set aside. Wash lettuce leaves. Prepare tomatoes and avocados. Fill lettuce leaves with taco filling and toppings.
